PHOTOGRAPHER/ FILMAKER

storyteller

filmmaker/photographer:

ive been a passionate photoagrapher and film maker for over 10 years, i grew p in devon and live there now which i think influenced  my style: bold, cinematic and dramatic visuals. My fascination with cameras which started young.. i remember holding my first camera at 8 and just thinking its amazing. never did i realise it would turn into a full-time gig, wihch happened to me during the pandemic, and since its taken me on an exciting journey with a wide range of clients from local and global businesses, gyms, brands, Devon & Cornwall Police, the Road Casualties Reduction Unit, Olympic athletes, world champion strongmen and weddings all over the uk.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Video has always been at the heart of my work. I specialise in producing cinematic, story-driven content, everything from documentaries and promotional films to fast-paced event and social campaigns. My style is moody, atmospheric, and dynamic, designed to connect people emotionally while standing out visually.

I’ve led a large range of different projects involving multi-cam hi stress, multicrew proiductions, high risk drones operations, dynamic interviews, fast paced live events, brand campaigns and more, always tailoring the final product to help clients grow, be seen, and make an impact.

What has helped me connect most with my clients is the transparency i have with them and my experience with other campaigns.

i have a good eye for creative problem solving and marketing and its a highly passionate subject for me.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING ADVISING :

during the evolution of my cinematographer journey i've had the pleasure of niching into marketing strategies, this has come over time working with businesses and experimenting with them to leverage social media to use their differences as strengths and grow them strong audiences that convert.

ive learnt that there are so many tools that can be effectively used to create good social media content whether its with a cinema camera or an iphone! it all comes down to the creative execution.

GOOD CONTENT > GOOD LOOKING CONTENT .

i will always believe good content will beat good looking content, starting with a bulletproof idea is always the primary goal, buts its not always the easiest task creating and executing ideas that work when you are focused on the daily operations of your business.

SIMPLE > COMPLICATED

One of the main issues i find with businesses is over complicating social media marketing, good social media is made simply and consistently, the less friction you have to action the more likely you are to create the content.. basically, if you enjoy making it, and its easy, youll do it more, and thus be more likely to succeed.

"A pottery teacher once divided a class into two groups.

One group would be graded purely on the quantity of pots they produced, while the other would be graded on creating just one perfect piece.

By the end of the course, the highest-quality pottery didn’t come from the group obsessing over perfection — it came from the group who made the most.

Through repetition, experimentation, mistakes, and constant refinement, they naturally developed greater skill."
